The gameplay is identical with the original Doom v1.9 (DOS), meaning the demo file plays back perfectly in the original Doom. UV-Max means you kill all the monsters and get all the secrets as fast as possible. Items do not matter. In this map there are 0 secrets, so 0 out of 0 results in 0% secrets.

40-0 Speedrun Against a ZDaemon Bot in 2:29

My goal was to beat the bot 40-0 (0 meaning deaths) in less than 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Was a pretty tough challenge. Have to get lucky with the spawns, and the bot not being slow near the chainsaw. Exact time 2:29.51.

This should be a decent one. Still not completely clean but what do you expect when it is an UV-Max run. Beats the current TAS and the current co-op record by 5 seconds. It took 2173 attempts to get this.

Ohhhh yeah! Feels so good to break Adam H's record, record that stood 9.3.1999 - 9.1.2019. That's almost 20 years! Seems like even 'unbeatable' demos can go down. Is THIS un-beat-able like Adam said? No, there's always a way, but only the stubbornly determined will make it. Will this demo stand longer as a record? I don't have a clue. No one can predict the future. Thanks xepop for xdre. Small detail I just noticed at 14:48 you got the perfect pixel lineup in a single turning motion thats lowkey insane
I'll use this as a rough guide to finish my coop nightmare run with a controller that makes running a nightmare itself. A lot of the tricks won't be doable but it'l help immensely.

Interestingly, it is more impressive to complete a map slowly on nightmare than "semi-fast speedrun" of the same map on nightmare, because the hp/armor doesnt respawn, while the monsters do.

The more I rewatch and analyse this run the more I realise how refined and precise your gameplay is. I have only gotten up to M9 in a single run. Hitting the rockets on M7 and M9 is so stressful

In the GZDoom port, you could actually jump onto the ledge which you normally need the Blue Key for to access at 0:05 Also, in the same port, you can skip the first two switches at 0:19 with another jump onto the middle platform, which then you press the switch to grab the key. Some minor skips.
Im not interested in non-vanilla shortcuts as one coule have permanent no clip in some ports.
